A Man Called Otto is an American comedy drama about an old, angry man, based on Fredrik Backman's bestselling book A Man Called Ove.

Based on the worldwide bestseller "A Man Called Ove", the film tells the story of a curmudgeon named Otto Andreson (Tom Hanks) who loses his purpose in life after losing his wife. Otto is ready to end it all, but his plans are disrupted by a lively young family who move into the house next door. Otto meets Marisol, who challenges him to see things differently, and an unexpected friendship develops that changes his life. This touching and funny story about love, loss and life shows that family can be found in the most unexpected places.
